STOLPERSTEINSTOLPERSTEINThe Stolperstein exists of a small brass plate, mounted on a concrete
block. The pavers of the city of Amsterdam place the Stolperstein in
the sidewalk, after which it is at the mercy of the elements.
Although brass is a durable material, the memory stone deteriorates
in time because of oxidation and street dirt.
